8th Spring Festival
by Hugo Costa and Natalia Del Bianco
We’re waiting for y’all at our Spring Festival event!
Despite the fact that it is still quite cold these last days, we are in spring season already! Yay! The flowers bloom revealing how lively they are; trees greening and birds singing happily after the dark and cold winter days. During this season, we also hold one of our greatest events: Spring Festival! Thought and planned by undergraduate Letras Inglês students and their professors, along with our lovely ETA (English Teaching Assistant), it is an annual event to celebrate not only spring itself, but also the English language, its literature, and students’ talent and effort.
After two years of social distancing at home and remote activities, this year, 2022, Spring Festival is celebrating its 8th edition; it will be live and presencial! The event will take place on November 10th, 2022, at 7pm, at Cine Teatro Fênix, in Apucarana.
These will be the Spring Festival performances this year:
Dance - First year students will perform an attraction full of surprises inspired by a scene from Mean Girls, yes the scene where the girls dance to “Jingle bells rock”!
The Miller's Tale - Second year students turned the controversial and tragic Tale of the Miller into a comic play.
Ted Talks - The third year students prepared videos, in which they will talk about teaching and learning.
Talk show - The fourth year girls will perform a monologue.
Rock n roll - Vitor Brandino of the third year of Letras - Inglês and his 3rd year of high school students at Colégio Cobra will do a small rock concert.
Musical theater - Vitor Brandino of the third year of Letters - English and his 9th year students at Colégio Cobra will present a theater with music.
Musical Performance - Sávio of the fourth year of Letras - Inglês and their students from the music school will play drums and guitars.
Fun and artistic performances to entertain and please you are confirmed! What about you? Can we count on you? See you on Thursday! You won’t regret it!
